Putley WI meets on every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 7.45pm for a varied programme of talks, visits and discussions. We are a small, but growing, group of 35 with a wide range of interests - and ages!
2014 has been a fabulous year. We have had talks about the characters of old Hereford, learnt how to take better photographs, been on trips to Vine farm to learn about their Cherry Orchards. Taster days at Denman House in Oxfordshire. We have been dressed up in the hats the that suit us, seen behind the scenes at Ledbury Theatre, made tea and cakes for the masses at the Blossom Teas event, been lead along the paths of Putley, found out all about Eastnor Castle, been introduced to reflexology, painted on silk and competed over mince pies! - Our last meeting of the year is Christmas dinner at The Royal Oak in Much Marcle.
Putley WI continues to help with the refurbishment of the Parish Hall, both donating money and their services to paint the interior and make curtains. Our help with BlossomTime, serving teas and home made cakes enabled us to provide the Parish Hall with a fabulous new projector screen this year.
Membership of this lively group continues to grow and if you are interested in joining us, please contact Julie Crompton - Putley WI Secretary, on 01531 670340.
